NEWS FLASH! The deadline to enter the 2019 Texas Night Sky Festival Poetry Contest has been extended to February 1, 2019!

Inspired by the night sky, the wonders of nature after dark, or the need to reduce our artificial illumination of the outdoors? You are at the right place to express yourself with an entry in the Texas Night Sky Festival® Poetry Contest.

The Festival Poetry Contest is now open for entries with categories for youth, adults, and published authors. Entries will be accepted until February 1, 2019. Finalists will be notified at least one week prior to the March 30, 2019 Festival. Award winners will be announced and their winning entries read at the Festival. NightScape Magazine will publish the winning entries and they will be featured on the host organizations' websites.

The Festival Poetry Contest Team is delighted to announce that Nathan Brown, an award winning poet, songwriter, performer and photographer will be the juror to select the award winners from the contest finalists.
